What to Send for Diwali: A Flower and Gift Guide

Diwali gifting has a clear traditional centre — sweets, dried fruit, and something auspicious for the home — and flowers work best when they sit alongside that rather than trying to replace it. Understanding which day you are sending for matters more than which arrangement you choose.

Send on Dhanteras

Dhanteras — November 6 in 2026 — opens the festival and is traditionally the day for buying and receiving. It is culturally the most natural day to have a gift arrive, and practically the best, because the house is being decorated rather than hosting.

The alternative is the morning of November 7, so that flowers are in place for Lakshmi Puja on the evening of the 8th. What you want to avoid is delivery during the main evening itself, when the host is managing a full house.

Dhanteras is the buying day. A gift that lands then is arriving on the day the culture expects it, not interrupting the day it celebrates.

What to Order, by Occasion

To a colleague or client, $35–$80. A warm-toned gesture that marks the festival without overreaching. Cheers at the smaller end, Designer Flower Mix for more presence.

Beyond Cut Flowers

Two options work particularly well for Diwali specifically.
